As an event chairman for SCCA autocrosses I can heartily recommend Sunriders to a beginner. You'll find lots of friendly faces and helpful people. The atmosphere is a bit more relaxed and geared more towards just having fun than the SCCA which has a more competitive feel.

You can get the same amount of help from an SCCA event you just might have to be more persistent to get it.

All that said, I started with the SCCA and so now has my wife. I do believe that we have the next available event so come on out.
