as far as experience, I have been riding off and on for about 10yrs, and I have done the motorcycle safety course. I'll admit I don't know it all and I am not the best rider, but I know where my skills lay, and I have the respect ( not fear...Respect) for motorcycles that alot of the flip-flop-swimsuit-wheelie riders don't have. Is a 1000 too big for me??? I don't know but if you don't crack it open then your only using a portion of it's potential, and in effect it becomes a heavy 250.
