My response:
"Buyers of the street versions tolerate the usual
drawbacks in exchange for blistering acceleration
at the top of the rev range, and the panache of
driving a copy of a WRC rally car."
Let's see... positive manifold pressure by 2300RPMs in
a stock Subaru WRX and 14psi by 3500RPM, all the way
to redline.
I'm curious what "panache-giving" cars you're describing
and where you did your research. It certainly wasn't
while sitting in the driver's seat of one of these cars
equipped with a boost gauge. And you certainly don't
actually have any inside understanding of the WRX owner
base, the majority of which could not care less about
WRC, rallying in general, nor its history. They saw a
car with a big fat dyno plot and all-wheel drive for
$24,500.
You sound old and out of touch with reality. Hell, you
can't even use "turbocharger" and "supercharger"
consistently in the right contexts throughout your
article.
Good job, sparky.
