Sounds like the TFI module. Common failure on old fox 5 liters. When it gets hot car tends to die. Thats why in 94 they moved the TFI module away from the distributor so it would stay away from the heat
Jomar's right, but they still suck. Replaced mine with one from performance Distributers.
