i'm going to disagree the new gixxer is about 5lbs lighter has a wee bit more power and more lowend torque.. as for the twistiees my good friend runs 1:22's on a stock 99 r6 at jennings was absolutly killing 1000rrs and R1

i'm still learning but i'll be there soon enough i ran a 1:38 my first time at jennings... also my gsxr1000 was wrecked... no plastics no areo just motor,frame,tank,rider... probably lost about 8-10hp due to low pressure to the airbox and when i was in 3rd and up my suit was acting like a parachute... keep in mind i'm 300lbs and i beat a bunch of noobs in the novice class with ease 600 750 1000 what ever was in my way got passed...

then the reality check came when i moved up to intermediate and got passed by a 125cc 60hp 168lbs twisty machine but held my own for about 5 laps until i got scared (hit a rumble strip at 130+ and almost lost the rear)
