IMO DSM's are no more unreliable then any other car out there. It's all in how you maintain the car. I think what gives these cars a bad rap is that they are reasonably priced and they are fast and with that combination you get young kids buying them, modding the fuck out of them, running ungodly amounts of boost and then BANG. I know pently of DSM owners who have had their car for years, done your normal every day maintance and never had a single problem.
