o man there are 100 questions i see evryday.....heres the top ones.
1. What is crankwalk?
its nothing, just buy the damn car and dont worry about it.
2. How much psi can i run if im completely stock?
16psi is safe, but you need a real boost guage to see how much you are really running.
3. If i have *insert mod list here* how much horsepower do i have? and what will i run at the track?
There is no answer as all dsms are different. Your best bet is to go to track and see what u run, and/or go to a dyno.
4. Do i have a 6bolt or 7bolt flywheel?
For the most part if you have a 1g, its a 6bolt, and if it a 2g, its a 7bolt. There are some technicalities though. Some early 95's have 6bolts and some 1g's have 7 bolts.
5. What is a BOV?
A BOV is a Blow off valve. They are referred to when talking about a CBV, or compressor bypass valve, that vents to the atmosphere.
6. How do i know if my bov/cbv is venting to the atmosphere or not?
There is a dumptube that comes off of your intake pipe. If the tube is hooked up to the BOV/CBV then you are recirculating, not venting. And vice versa.
7. Which BOV sounds the coolest and will get me all the girls?
None.
But if you want a more detailed answer of which one will work best for you, here are some of the more popular choices
A. Greddy Type S - This BOV was made popular by The fast and the furious(green eclipse). It has a high pitched wistle, and the best part is, it will recirculate easily. However, its drawbacks are that it wont hold high pressure, ~24psi is its limit. And the diaphram goes bad after time.
B. HKS Super Seqential - This BOV is alittle more unique than the majority of other BOV's. It uses a pull type valve that cannot leak under any amount pressure, making it perfect for high boost applications. It also has a wistle type sound, but its much deeper, and a single "PHHSSTTTT". Drawback is it does not recirculate without a recirculation kit.
C. Turbo XS RFL - Thie one is known for the being the single most loudest blow off valve ever. It does not recirculate, and has nothing special to offer other than being really f'ing loud(which is why the name is RFL).
D. 1g Crushed CBV - This one is probably the most popular for the average "got to get it done cheap and fast" dsmer. This one is basically like the Type S, but it does not look nice under the hood. It definetly gets the job done, and for around $50, who can argue?
8. Why should i recirculate when i could sound cool and vent to atmosphere?
Recirculating is better for our cars becuase when you vent, you are letting out air that you ECU already counted. So if you vent, u may have problems with idle, stumbling when shifting, and the car stalling when shifting from a gear to neutral.
9. How much horsepower can i have when i buy this turbo?
TD05-14B (stock 1g)......- 275-300hp @ 21 psi
TD05-16G (small).......... - 345-365hp @ 22 psi
TD06-16G (large).......... - 365-385hp @ 22 psi
TD06-20G.................... - 450hp @ 22 psi
T25 (stock 2g)............. - 235-250hp @ ?? psi

12. How do i *insert random mod install*?

13. Why wont my stock 2g hold more than 12psi?
Because your stock CBV is plastic POS. Buy a new one.
14. Why wont my 2g hold more than 10psi after 5000 rpms?
Because the T25 runs out of breath at higher rpms. Get a bigger turbo to fix it. Even the stock 1g 14b will be better.
more to come im sure.
