i got a 96 cavalier for my girl basic automatic 2 door 2.2l engien tranny shifts good and it starts right up but it has a huge annoying problem....

when you drive it its ok untill about 25 mph i mean it accelerates real slow but if you try to hit the gas to accelerate more it like hesitates and bogs and acts like it wants to back fire. i think it may have something to do with the timing car has

new plugs
new wires
new fuel pump
new fuel filter

like i said it starts right up but stutters real bad on acceleration or if you just give it a steady amount of gas. i hear a kind of clinging noise on the passenger side fo the engine i am thinking the timing tensioner is bad or that the power steering pump is making noise does any one have any idea what is maiing it act like this??? and help is appreciated. thanks
