Yeah, the snorkel removal is strictly an audio mod. You can hear the turbo spool a little louder and not to mention hearing the BOV when the windows are up and the radio is off.
I dont know about cutting into a car that is not mine. I would probably slap a nice catback on there so you can have one of those beautiful boxer tones, because you can put stock back on when the lease is over.
