Check Autotrader and eBay. I'm sure you'll find different. My first car was an '86 Fiero GT which I got for $1,500. In the years since then the Fiero has become more of a collector's item with more and more popping up with very very low miles and in perfect condition.

Only the '84 Fieros were known for catching fire and exploding. '84 was all four-cylinders. In '85 they moved the gas tank to the center of the car underneath the armrest, which is actually the best place for it.
Fiero = mid-engine Grand Am? I don't think so. The suspension was modeled after the Lotus Esprit's, and so was the bodywork. Sure the 2.8V6 isn't that great. What IS great is a Cadillac Northstar fits perfect, along with the GTP 3800SC Series II, and basically any smallblock Chevy. Carbed, TPI, LT1, LS1, etc.
