As for the 216.80 run. I was standing right there watching that pass and the mph was definitely impressive. It was also a scary pass to watch to say the least. They took a risk with that one and somehow Brad was lucky enough that the car stayed in the small groove on that shitty ass track. Seeing what happened to so many cars that weekend I'm sure you will agree that it was a scary pass. The mph was impressive but the ET for that kind of mph was not there and that reflects the shitty track. There are plenty of people that make enough power in the class to run those speeds, just most people were tuning their shit down knowing how many people had crashed and not wanting to do so themselves.
I know all about TX2K5, I was there and saw the 8.05 in person on Thursday. The funny thing is only one stage of nitrous kicked in and that is why the car only went 8.05 on a 1.25 60'. One day we'll redo that car and make it into an outlaw car of sorts, then the fun will begin.
Lets be honest Porter, we've gone to how many races and no one has gone withing 4MPH of that time, a LOT of drivers have taken chances as well. The 60' on that pass was a 1.08. Ara had a 1.07 and went 204 for the loss. Brad is an excelent driver and the car went straight down the track, he of course had some wheelspin, but nothing that he wasn't able to take care of. Had that car 60' like the black cars previous pass you would have seen a .4X, so I'm sure that would probably help get the ET down as well should the track hookup. This weekend will show that, I'll be in Vegas watching all the fun.
