It's a pain and a long process but not to technically involved.
You can either undo the mounts and jack up the engine to make it easier to get to or you can remove the turbo which isn't the best option unless you are planning to replace the turbo at the same time.
If I used a lift would it be easier to gain access or is it the engine that's in the way?
