This one is simple: revving higher with the proper setup makes more power. That's all the reason I would need. Now, with my car, I've got a small turbo and always will, I'm going to run mild cams that keep the powerband in the stock range, and even though I've got my limiter set at 8500 I never shift above 7k because that's the end of my powerband. If I were to go with the dream setup I was thinking about a while back, I'd be running a huge turbo capable of flowing the air and holding boost to high rpm, aggressive cams, a sheetmetal intake, ported head with upgraded valvetrain, and I'd be revving to 9500 rpm because full boost would hit at 5500 and it would keep on making more power from there on up to the limiter.
