They still don't know what's wrong with it. As of yesterday: They pulled the head off, checked it completely and found nothing wrong. They said the timing had to be off, but if it was off more then 2 teeth it would have bent every valve in the head. I told them that the timing doesn't explain all the blowby, my car was a chimney for a week.
The shop had a breakin monday and a lot of tools were stolen, luckily no engines or equipment was taken. They said they would remove a couple pistons, check the hone on the cyls and the rings. Im sure it's something with the bottom end that is fubar. Either it was overhoned, or the rings were installed incorrectly... who knows.
So I'll call them in a few hours, and get the skinny on what's going down, and the ETA on when the motor is complete. I prolly wont see it until monday. So ETA on the car being up is still a couple weeks away. Im not very happy about it, but there's nothing I can do.
