gts was created to make the mustang more competitive with the camaro in scca competition they gave the mustang a weight break because of its lower horsepower so it was given off of the lowest curb weight of a v-8 powered car so they gave it off of the GTS which allowed them to have an advantege this is why in 95 the mustang won most of the SCCA races in their class. think of it as a GT R kinda like a cobra r is a cobra without all the crap that show cobra owners wanted (btw shelby once said at an event that it made him sick to see power seats and power accesories in something that said cobra on it) some people want the accesories some dont but the gts allowed you to order the car with whatever you wanted on it,there are some with the mach 460 in it(seen 2)some even with pw,pl. and mine is one of 103 with a factory installed Spoiler.(early production)Mine has the 3 post spoiler.but anyways, I am looking at the different headers and am thinking of using the Central coast headers for sn95's they want 215 for them so thats not too bad(I just have a problem buying something from MAC for $310 when I have seen all the hammering that has to be done to fit anything they sell.They should give you a hammer with each purchase.has anyone seen these headers? are they ok ? I'm a little leary because they have individual flanges instead of the large joined flange.
