They came out with copies of the 230rc with an even bigger bore, that's the 27 cc I have. They then came out with a 2mm stroker crank for the 27cc copies, so you can get 29cc big-bore strokers. 40 mph on a spindle drive model is very rare, I had a fair amount done to mine and I only hit low 30's. Then you get into the problems of that high a speed with spindle drive, even my goped could spin the tire on the wheel- I plan on buying a beadlock rim for the rear. The 27 and 29 cc engines start out at 3.5-4 hp, so hitting 5-6 hp with a good pipe and a high compression dome is not out of the question. I had arguably the best pipe and the 27 cc, I'd guess I had between 4-4.5 hp but it's only a guess.
