I actually suggested the fpr and gauge because at least then we can install his ud ecu and 450's and make sure that fuel isn't the problem because that o2 isn't reading anything but ambient air right now. So a good economically viable solution to get the car reliable enough to bring to a tuner would be the afformentioned and an exhaust. I'm not trusting the o2 sensor regardless, instead of wasting cash on another of those I pointed out the great deals on the PLX devices which he will likely use when the funds are available.

As for the harness, I whole heartedly agree with yanking it out and getting it to look like a harness and not some russian grade telemetry project. Right now as it is, the o2 sensor wiring needs completely redone, and the vtec wiring could be alot better. Not much else is wrong in the way of wiring and grounds.

He's already to get a new pump as well because he's not 100% about what injectors or pump came with the car. So then we can rule out the fuel pump at that point as well. By then we'll know timing and fuel should be good to go.

I really doubt you'll have any issues like you've been experiencing once the pump and injectors are swapped out and you can run the UD. The dizzy and crimp connectors were you're biggest problems to begin with and those are all caught up.

As for the Oil leak, that's gonna be a big job for you man. You are really gonna have to get dirty. I'll help point things out on the way, but all that's really needed is some Honda gasket, a couple cans of BPC and the correct TQ on all your bolts. But we can address all that after it's running good because it's not all that bad of a leak. You're just being picky and impatient.

I know it's a pain, but the reward in the end will be worth it. If you feel the need to give up, by all means do what you have to, but it's not far from being a decent hatch.

If you stick with it, you'll continue to learn some great mechanic tips and meet some cool peeps. And go broke, join the club.

But alas, you said it yourself... "Everything Happens for a Reason" And you're the one making it happen.
