One thing I've noticed is that it's not necessarily the camera that makes the shot, it's the person behind it...much like auto racing. You can give someone the fastest, best handling car to an amatuer and a pro could show them up in something a heck of a lot less. I've been on some sites where people bought the rebel or another high end digital camera only to find out they suck at taking pictures and end up selling it at a huge loss. Not saying it'll happen in your case though.
So many people think that since you buy a 'semi professional' camera, that you become a 'semi professional' boy, they sure are wrong. Ive seen many people with 300d's shoot and the pics look like they came from a p&s camera.
