It actually has a very similar platform to the Fox body Stangs. I have seen them run real fast. They have a simple design. You could loose a ton of the vaccuum shit under the hood. The 302 block that is in it is a little stronger than most too.

And I think it had a C4 tranny in it which when rebuilt is damb near bullit proof.
