For the uneducated:

Although this is not the perfect example of a Z car with a 350 transplant there are some very good reasons to do this. The v8 is shorter than the inline 6, this brings the weight of the motor more towards the rear of the car, improving balance. If done using an all aluminum motor, then the weight is actually reduced. More power, less or at least better distributed weight, and better handling, I don't see the downside. Is there one other than the tired, "It's Japanese, it shouldn't have an American motor in it"?

Nice car. If I were going to have one, I'd really want a manual and at least aluminum heads.
