I'm assuming it's disc up front and drum in the back. Change the shoes in the back, have the drums turned at whatever machine/brake shop you like. Change the pads in the front, have the rotors machined at whatever machine/brake shop you like. Then, if you're feeling really saucy, you can bleed the system or even flush it if you want. I'd suggest going to Sears and picking up a Craftsman vacuum pump and bleeder attachment for said pump. It'll save you about an hour or two of useless brake pumping.
