The key word here is reliability. If you are going to go forced induction you need to do things right the first time or your gonna be becoming a mechanic or calling on a mechanic in no time. Unfortunately for gokou46 there is an extremely small following for that motor so you can't reliably walk in someone else's footsteps. If you are willing to walk your own path, you better have some serious cash.
I'm a huge fan of turbocharged motors, my best friend 99b16si is one of the most respected honda tuners on this board. I was there when he "become a mechanic" and it didn't come cheap. Not to mention he never drove on a single cam d series. It's for this reason that i bought a turbocharged motor from the factory.
Can it be done? Of course. If he straps on a small turbokit, gets a great tune, and has the willpower not to turn up the dial. But why not start being a mechanic when the k-series doesn't excite you anymore, and build up the best honda has to offer? This way he's got the right components to make some decent numbers as well, like a great flowing head, reinforced block, larger displacement, vtec made for power not economy, and an intake manifold that isn't made of plastic.
By the way, that's the nicest d16 turbo i've ever seen trip What are you looking for if you sell?
