I've seen plenty of Z's that hit high 13's stock. Personally I've never seen a stock WRX go faster than 14.4, at 6 or 7 mph lower than the Z.
If you want, I'm up for a friendly run. I've got a Z with the same mods as 04evo2, minus the cats/exhaust. Let me know.

+1 most stock wrx's i've seen run are happy with a 14.6
A 350z would need about 250 to the wheels to run side by side with an sti. Since o4evo2 pulled him, that would mean he's running 250+ with a curb weight of 3428 lbs. A fellow subie wrx with turboback and up-pipe will be happy to pull 200 to the wheels at a curb weight of 3085.
200/3085 = .0648
250/3428 = .0729+
I hate to say it but it sounds like a waste of gas in my opinion. Now a run from a dig against a stock 350z is more like it. Both are capable of high 13's. From a roll though it should still be the stock 350's advantage (.0648 vs .0670). I've been waiting eagerly to test this advantage, but unfortunately haven't had the opportunity yet
For reference i have the sti down as 240/3263 = .0735 and stock 350z as 230/3428 = .0670.
