You're supposed to break little pieces off and use them..I assume he didn't use the whole thing to do the car, right?
Anyway even if he did it should be fine, just break a little piece off and fold it after you do each area. Eventually the piece will get dirty. Just throw that piece away.
I've used the one I have on 3 cars and still have about half of it left.
