it looks like the dual pattern cam is going to give you more area under your torque curve. judging by the results, thats probably what i would go with. the Desktop dyno isnt that bad really... its purely based on physics; something that cant vary or be skewed. there will probably be some losses in real life due to minor inconsistancies with volumetric efficiency and frictional losses and such... but aside from that, your dyno pulls with this setup should mimic your desktop dyno results.

Yeah, I was going to run with the 294 cam. I like the fact that Desktop Dyno suggests a starting torque of 330ftlbs @ 2000rpm. That's about peak on the motor I'm running in the ol' '67 now!
