Well I will say that every setup is different and the bore plays a part in it too. I know on the cars that I have tuned NA with the IIIs or IVs, the vtec has always been around 5000-5150. I could tell you the cam gear settings, but that would just be too much info for this tech forum.
I was reffering to my experience with sk2 stg2s on 81mm bore. I have yet to even see a car in person w/ BC cams.
I personally would run a 5600 rpm engagement & stay out of vtec until I put the car on the rollers y0
