Leave the cam gears at 0 deg until you put the car in the dyno.
Concerning vtec engagement, agressive cams such as BC's like higher vtec engagement around 5500-5900 rpms depending on the setup.
I would set vtec engagment at 5600 rpms until you put it on the dyno.
