I found a blue 94 A Package car in Clearwater that was in my budget. It's missing some interior trim, the radio, and it needs a little love, but it looks like it's pretty solid!
Either the pilot or throwout bearing is groaning, so it'll get a clutch/seals job soon. It's leaking a little bit of oil around the valve cover gasket, so I'll do that when I do the timing belt. And the previous owner put some terrible "short" shifter in it, so the gearbox is a little tricky. I'll be looking for a junkyard shifter to switch it back out... It threw a CEL on the way home, but it was just the O2 sensor. No biggie there.
It sounds like a lot, but it was damn cheap, and it'll definitely come out costing less than the $5,000 "perfect" cars I was looking at before.
