Damn, if I didn't scorch the clutch tonight. I line up against an older cougar. The lights drop, and I am asleep at the wheel. I finally wake up and launch the car. First gear kind of bogs, grab second and start pulling on the cougar..... and then the bottom falls out and the tach climbs quickly toward the red but the mph climb at a slower rate. At first I think the tires might be spinning, so I get out of the throttle and then roll back into it.... that doesn't help. I finally grab third and rolled into the throttle part way, but the engine overpowers the clutch again.

This is the run before the clutch melt down.

R/T .922 <------
60' 2.32 <-----
330 6.21
1/8 9.30
MPH 80.07 <------ clutch started to slip at the end of this run

Video will go up tomorrow.
