I respectfully disagree with that.
Your boost will go up with a FMIC not down. After I swapped mine out and before the tune my boost pressure went up from the stock 10psi up to 15 1st thru 3rd gear and 18psi fro 4th thru 6th. You have more air with the FMIC so you're giving more air to the turbo which the turbo can now produce more boost pressure. I've seen it with my own eyes...

After the tune and my boost was set to 20psi on the stock STi turbo.
