edit:
I think now i may have been missunderstood or poorly stated my intentions by the replys i have read. I was not talking about a one time track rental for a 4 cylinder shoot out. I was talking about the interest in having 4 cylinder class's added right next to pro-stock, jr dragster, and the other class's currently ran at tracks. So every weekend you could head to the local track you went to anyhow but run for trophies or cash like every other type of race car does. Why should v8's be able to run for cash and prizes every weeked but not 4 cylinders?? Sorry for my poor clairification in what i was gauging interst in. :bbb:
There are 4 cyl's running for money every weekend at several tracks all over the country. However these are owned by people who have cars fast enough to compete in a 10 1/2 in tire class. You see the 4 cyl in most cases has a hugh weight difference and when built right can compete. RWD that is. I think what you are trying to accomplish is more suited for a stock "FWD" class which I do not think you have enough pull, namesake, or money to accomplish. Look I'm not trying to bust on you I just think you are looking for something that is not going to happen anytime soon.
