I see both of your points of view. I'm just thinking if you're only flowing 30CFM of air through a meter designed for 80, you may not get the proper amount of air through the sample tube or across the grid. If you don't get the proper percentage of air through the sampling area, the car won't run right.

Whether they can insure you get the right percentage of air through it I have no idea.
