I don't remember Mustangs having trouble selling and Mustangs get modded more than any other car so I really don't think that that had much too do with Idle Wild. There are speed shops everywhere that specialize in Mustangs and chances are that they all won't survive.
Non cobra mustangs were pitiful between those years. Where have you been. Look I'm not a big Honda fan at all but when a civic si or crx si can keep up with a stock mustang thats pitiful. Spend enough time at the track and you will see for yourself. Look as I said before the mustang came down from it's glory days for a few years and thats it. Also Idlewild did not have quite the same reputation as Costal dyno. Sam over at costal will be around for quite a while I'm sure.
