So the other day I was reasearching the specs on this '97 454 I was thinking about buying and I came across something odd--GM rates all their engines in metric now! Instead of being 454ci it was 7800-something cc and all the bore and stroke measurements were in mm instead of in. What has happened in the world that a domestic manufacturer would use non-domestic measurements? 
well they've been refering to motors in litres for 40+ years now
I still hate it when they talk about domestic motors in metric cc's
makes me think I'm looking at a crotch rocket or a briggs and straton motor
