I cant go to Eisles because i need this done tomorrow. I took my motor there for boring and whatever recently and just wasnt all that happy with the service. The quality of work was good but i mean they broke one of my LS pistons and didnt mention it until i came back to ask for them. It was kinda shady. Anyways the tap didnt work. I tried the 5/64 bit from craftsman with the appropriate tap and it jsut snapped leaving the tip in the bolt. Its beyond anything i can do because its probably been like that for a couple years before i even got the motor. Thanks for your help Im just taking it to napa tomorrow and ive also heard national cylinder head is good.
You dont use a tap you use a bit extractor.
Looks a lot like a drill bit. Basically you screw it in counterclockwise and once it bottoms out it snugs up and the bolt comes right out of it. Its a damned simple job but youve gotta be using the right tools to get it done.
