no new valve body. i installed mine with the tranny out of the car upsidown so i imagine it would be a little harder from underneath, but still doable. you take the valve body out when you do the install though. just lots of springs/washers n stuff and drilling a few bigger holes. my 1-2 shifts awesome but 2-3 i have problems with. it revs up before it shifts (seems like it slipps out for a second or something so it ends up redlining). im not sure if its the tranny or something else, but i picked this one up used w/70k miles so who knows.
