Well if you're gonna stunt, then I definitely recommend you get a used, ragged out piece of shit because you WILL wreck it. Hell you may even total it. But don't worry about stunting just yet. Get good at riding first. Stunting will come much easier after that.
I got plenty of videos where a simple stunt went wrong and the bike got anihilated. Not cause they were going at a high speed, just cause the bike started spinning and got tore up.
Honestly though, a 600 wouldn't be too bad for a beginner. Take the MSF course and ride the 250's. You'll get bored of them after the course is over, trust me. The 600's will then be a nice step up. Just take it easy for the first month or two. The fun stuff comes naturally with time.
