How much experience do you have? Is this going to be your only transportation? Are going to have insurance? Do you have a place to keep a bike? My first ride was on a FZR600 and my only bike so far is a ZX6R. I think that an older 600 is a great starter bike. I had my bike almost six months before I got a tag for it, in that time I only drove mine at the drag strip. Jeff
