OH I beg to differ. DOHC KA's do not have any sort of head gasket issues if they are taken care of and are not boosted. I've had a few of them, and so have my friends. The only time a dual cam KA will have a head gasket issue is if it gets too hot.

The SOHC on the other hand has a front cover manufacturing flaw taht makes the engine mix oil and coolant when a stud breaks off as the motors get older.

You can run a dual cam KA for about 250k miles without having any problems if it's properly taken care of.
