To me it's a waste of a GSR block to put an LS crank in it. Thats just me and i need to turn at least 9k in the point im at. The rod ratio is not made for high rpm's. Thats why you need those ARP rod Bolts. If it were me i would have bought an aftermaket crank if i couldnt find a GSR/TypeR crank. I'm sure it will work just fine but i wouldnt rev it to 8,500. I think 8k is enough. Anything more and you will have bearing trouble.
the r/s of an LS is not far from a GSR. an LS crank will spin to 9000 in a gsr block. if its built right bearings will not be an issue at 8500+ even if it were an LS block .
