if the distributor was out of the motor, set the motor at top dead center... either by the timing marks on the crank pulley.
tdc should be the second to last, going counter clockwise.
or, stick a ratchet extension, or something that will hit the piston, pull the spark plug out of #1, and watch until it reaches the top.
that is top dead center.

look at the distributor cap, find #1, when the motor is at tdc, the rotor should point to number 1.
youll most likely have to install and remove the distributor a few times until its right, because of the way the the gears on the distributor mesh.

also, there is no crank angle sensor on a ka, the sr uses a crank angle sensor, since it doesnt have a distributor, and uses coil packs.
