why is this a shock,how many threads have been on TR where they compare years and performance parts?how many times have "you" said why spend that much when you can buy something older and do blah blah blah.
I have always gone for the best performance for the least bucks whenever I make a statement that has to deal with cars and going fast. Of course 9 times out of 10 it's going to be cheaper to go fast in something older because it has been around a while, parts are cheaper and it's all already been tested before. If you give two people $10,000 and one has to do domestic and one import, the domestic will ALWAYS be faster. Plain and simple.
