One of the OGP officials walked up to me and told me:
"We have a VERY good customer who is having his birthday today, and he would like to take a ride with you, if that's okay". I said I don't mind, but that he would have to clear the "non-driver" with Erik or Kyle first. He approached Eric, and discussed this with Erik. Erik asked a few questions and than told him they would allow this, but as long as the driver were a pro-driver, like Matt (and I believe Jay). I understand the thought, so I let it be at that. The person got a ride with Jay at the tracks request and with Erik's approval (to my understanding).
I understand the Drivers only rule, as it pertains to insurance, and I agree it sucks, but I clearly heard it said that they would make an exception this 1 time at the tracks request, and no driver should be punished for that.
