alot of it is that an impor is cheaper to insure.. and easier to handle for younger drivers.. they get into imports early for those reasons.. (reliability too) .. and tend to stick with what they know..
i amde the corss over to the domestics..it was alot of fun.. but it was also alot more expensive to own than and import.. but far easier to mod and get power out of too.
i'd do it again when my life dictates (i said life not wife) that it makes sense.
actually a civic, accord, integra are more expensive to insure than camaro v8 or mustang gt. theft rates are a bitch, and they are more than the charge for high performance.
