gears are fucking costly on a vette. I wouldnt bother unless you are unlucky and got 2.73 gears. You are better off finding a Dana 44 rear end outta 6 speed car with 3.42 gears You get better gears and a way beefy rear end.

Im pretty sure 87 is iron heads as well. Id be doing Holley Intake with a decent cam and some ported L98 Alumn heads, long tube headers, upgraded y pipes and mufflers. The get it tuned.
