The clock pulls right out. There is no double-sided tape and no seal to speak of.

On the other hand I would agree that the better location for the up high. The dome light power source isn't ignition controlled so that would be a hassle as one would need to turn off the radar detector manually. I hardwired mine into the auto-dimming compass mirror wiring harness which is ignition controlled as a hardwire source should be.

I would highly suggest using the auto-dimming mirror wiring harness.
