Yes, I put at least 2 on him by 120ish from 80ish, both automatics, and he was trying... This was on the Florida's Turnpike and he is a friend of mine... he has driven my car and expected as much... The GS is an absolute beast at high speed... Keep in mind, I am also L-Tuned with a freeflowing exhaust which does put me a little over stock. The GS400 has a theoretical top speed of 180MPH! (but is limited to 149, only 7 more than the G35)
He is a 2003 G35...
G35 - 280HP @ 6200RPM 3.4 liter V6 3400lbs
My GS400 - est310HP @ 6000RPM 4.0 liter V8 est3500lbs (no spare, no navigation)
Similar performance on paper but G35 was 2 cars slower in real life that day... must have been the VVT-i
Bottom line, not upset that it is this close... to me 1-2-3 cars is close... not like getting creamed by a Z06...
