yeah, a tranny from a 337 is a direct bolt-on to the awp 1.8ts. any tranny work is always a pain in the ass. even if vw sold you the tranny and installed it, it would void the warrenty. they more then likley wouldnt even do it for this very reason. your best bet is to find a recked 20th or jetta gli and have someone pull it out and install it on your car. but again, once vw sees the car, your warrenty is out the window. if you feel the shifter is slopy, which it is, then get a good short shifter kit like b&m or diesel geek. that will smooth things out for you.
