If all you want is 280+ hp then stick with the stock motor. Add some fuel, an intercooler, exhaust, and an upgraded turbo and you will have somewhere in the 300s. I managed 269rwhp/349torque on a stock t3 turbo and I believe I have some work to do with tuning and getting the boost a bit higher. Also, the dyno was done at XAT (Their dyno is rumored to read a bit low). So anyway, its not that hard to get that kind of power our of the vg30et and its certainly not worth the trouble to put the vg30det or any other motor in just to get above 280hp.
