I recently decided to not eat beef at all since the USDA refuses to test (or even allow companies to test their own meat) for mad cow disease. We all probably already have it anyway, it takes about 10-15 yrs to show itself and there is no cure. Slowly eats away at your brain, grrrrreat...

I've seen videos like this one before, but for some reason, this time it had more impact on me.

I'm most likely gonna stick to primarily fish from now on. I like vegatable soups anyway, and lots of eggplant and pasta Italian dishes. Fuck meat, fuck the industry and people it supports, and fuck the hell those animals go through. There's a lot more humane ways to kill the lame animals and to do the slaughtering.

Let's get real here though, as fars as the "eat-or-be-eaten" mantra; pigs, chickens, turkeys and cows arent going to be eating humans anyway.

For the theists out there who insist that animals are beasts and are totally separate from humans, then tell me why my dog dreams.... explain how it has emotions, and I dare you to tell me that those cows don't have the very same emotions as my dog, or more. Regardless of ability to express itself or level of function, a cow is a quite highly developed biological being; a mammal, and no cow can enjoy hanging upside down with a slit throat bleeding to death, thats just FUBAR.

From an evolutonary standpoint, a very strong argument can be made that humans are fruit, nut, root and berry eating gatherers anyway. Meat has to be fresh or requires cooking and I don't see any others species' building fires to cook their food.

Bah, that completes my rant. Maybe my logic will appeal to some of the rest of you.

PS- I won't stop drinking milk, but I will pay a premium for it if the animals are treated properly, until then, soy milk tastes fine to me.
